Role Description

Position: Domain Expert - Legal (NetDocuments)

Type: Contract

Compensation: $70–$100/hour

Location: Remote

Role Responsibilities

• Confirm documents are filed, profiled, versioned, and secured correctly for the matter.
• Catch documents filed to the wrong matter, wrong official version, or with broken ethical walls.
• Judge completeness of document handling, ensuring all related documents and emails are managed.
• Distinguish between system permissions and approvals by a records manager or partner.
• Verify refusals of requests that should not be approved, such as deleting a document under legal hold.

Qualifications

• Frequent NetDocuments use - weekly or more - in your current or recent role.
• 2+ years as a paralegal, legal assistant, records manager, litigation support specialist, DMS administrator, or practicing attorney.
• Ability to spot a misfiled document, wrong official version, or confidentiality breach on sight.
• Paralegal certificate, J.D., or equivalent law firm experience.
• Strong working knowledge in at least 2–3 specialized areas above.

Requirements

• iManage or other DMS experience (Preferred).
• Prior data annotation, labeling, or AI evaluation experience (Preferred).
