Role Description
IAIC is seeking a Legal Operations Specialist to work side-by-side with our Legal Operations Director to manage specific legal operations functions, such as:

Matter management

E-billing

Contract management
-
Knowledge management
-
Training
The legal operations specialist will also assist in:

Creating processes and practices that improve the day-to-day efficiency and effectiveness of the LRC team

Facilitating change
-
Controlling legal service costs
This is a generalist role that involves handling and supporting projects across the full range of subject matter supported by the LRC team.
Key responsibilities include:

Assisting with vendor and technology management by overseeing vendor relationships and identifying legal tech solutions to streamline practices such as e-billing, Contract Lifecycle Management, and Document Management Systems

Reinforcing the use of available tech solutions to ensure they align with broader enterprise objectives

Overseeing the invoicing and payment process for legal services and working with finance and accounting departments to analyze legal spend
-
Collaborating with external legal service providers, such as vendors and billing support teams of contracted outside counsel firms
-
Identifying opportunities to develop and maintain a knowledge management system for sharing legal resources
-
Assisting with contract administration processes in Zip and/or Ironclad
-
Creating and delivering technical and process training support for the LRC team

Collaborating with cross-functional internal teams, including sales, customer support, IT/technology, finance, and accounting
Qualifications
-
BA or BS required
-
1β2 years of experience; clerical experience also preferred
-
Strong critical thinking skills
-
Demonstrated inquisitive and curious mindset

Experience developing forms, processes, and policies
-
Proven track record of collaborating with cross-functional groups
-
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
-
Able to thrive in a challenging environment and manage multiple deadlines

Proficient in business applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and SharePoint
-
Strong experience in developing, implementing, and using technology solutions (e.g., Ironclad, Xakia, HCue, DocuSign, SERFF, Westlaw, etc.)
