Role Description

We are looking for a commercial lawyer to join our busy legal team. Working under the direction of the Director, Legal Affairs and other senior members of the Legal, Regulatory & Public Policy team, you will, as needed:

• Provide practical legal advice to internal teams (e.g., operations, business-services teams, and marketing) regarding commercial, privacy, and other legal matters.
• Review, draft, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial agreements.
• Manage your own matters while also supporting more complex files under the supervision of senior counsel.
• Interact directly with internal clients across the business and have regular exposure to senior management.
• Assist on other legal, regulatory, and administrative matters.

Qualifications

• An LL.B. or J.D. and membership in the Law Society of Ontario in good standing.
• 2-3 years of relevant legal experience.
• Excellent communication skills (written and spoken English).
• Excellent organization and attention to detail.
• An interest in telecommunications and technology.

• As this is a remote role, the successful candidate is responsible for providing their own suitable home workspace.
