Role Description

The Legal Counsel (PBM Contracting) provides tactical legal advice and support to internal clients, typically at the Director or Vice President level.

• Provide tactical legal advice and support to internal clients including PBM, pharmacy, specialty pharmacy, government programs, administrative support functions or other areas as assigned.
• Perform research, drafting and transactional work in support of legal matters, with a focus on client-facing contracting and support of account management functions.
• Advise internal clients regarding compliance with regulatory requirements and corporate policies; develop and facilitate legal training and investigate issues as needed.
• Provide client training on legal principles.
• Coordinate partnership with in-house and outside legal resources where appropriate.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Juris doctor degree.
• Current license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 5 years of experience practicing as an attorney or related legal experience in a regulatory or compliance role, with a minimum of 3 years of experience working with managed care companies or other health care clients.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without the need for work visa or residency sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with PBMs, pharmacies and/or health benefit insurers.

Benefits

Potential pay for this position ranges from $124,000.00 - $211,000.00 based on experience and skills.
