[Hiring] Legal / Compliance Consultant - Trade Compliance, Export Control @Axiom Talent Platform

Role Description

We are currently seeking a Legal Consultant / Compliance Consultant experienced in Trade Compliance/ Export Controls to provide ongoing support to our global client:

• Provide support on global trade compliance with a focus on export controls, product classification (ECCN), licensing, and permitting requirements.
• Analyze and interpret complex trade regulations and apply them to business operations across APAC.
• Support the regionalization of global trade compliance programs, including restricted party screening, customer due diligence, and end-use/end-user reviews.
• Train, mentor, and support trade compliance personnel across Greater China and the broader APAC region.

Qualifications

• 4-12 (+) years experience in global/regional trade compliance and export controls, with strong knowledge of Hong Kong and China/APAC regulations.
• Proven ability to turn complex rules into clear, practical guidance for the business.
• Fluency in English and Mandarin.
• Strong analytical and communication skills to lead cross-border projects, engage with senior stakeholders, and support high-impact decision-making.
• Track record of building and regionalizing trade compliance programs and supervisory experience.
