Role Description

We are hiring a Mid-Level Legal Assistant on behalf of a respected mid-size U.S. law firm specializing in Bankruptcy & Financial Law. This is a stable, full-time, long-term remote opportunity for a detail-oriented legal professional based in Latin America (Colombia, México, Argentina, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Dominican Republic, Peru, etc) who is ready to become a key operational support within a collaborative U.S. legal team. You will work directly with U.S.-based attorneys and paralegals, supporting bankruptcy filings and financial law cases while building meaningful exposure to U.S. court procedures.

What You'll Do

• Support attorneys with bankruptcy filings and financial law case management
• Draft, format, and organize legal documents and court-related materials
• Maintain case calendars, track deadlines, and manage case files with accuracy
• Assist with preparation and filing of documents before U.S. courts
• Communicate professionally with clients via phone — demonstrating compassion, patience, and strong phone etiquette
• Operate BestCase bankruptcy software for case preparation and document management
• Collaborate closely with the legal team

Qualifications

• Proven experience supporting U.S. law firms (required)
• Hands-on experience with Bankruptcy, Financial Law, or related practice areas
• Advanced English proficiency — C1 level, both written and spoken
• Proficiency in BestCase software
• Strong attention to detail, deadline management, and organizational skills
