Role Description
This role is vital in supporting sales and services teams, ensuring that legal advice is seamlessly integrated into commercial transactions. As a key legal advisor, you will negotiate complex SaaS agreements, particularly tailored for government contracts. Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including SaaS, software licensing, and professional services.

Partner with Sales and Services teams to efficiently drive deals to closure while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Provide strategic legal guidance on RFPs and government procurement processes.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to implement scalable legal processes and templates.

Support cross-functional initiatives related to compliance, risk management, and sales operations.

Stay updated on laws and regulations impacting SaaS and public sector contracting.

Develop expertise in an additional area of law to support broader initiatives.
Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Active state bar membership, with eligibility for California Registered In-House Counsel if not CA-barred.

6+ years of legal experience, including at least 3 years in-house at a technology or SaaS company.

Experience in negotiating commercial contracts with government entities.

Strong understanding of SaaS business models and software licensing.

Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a team-oriented mindset.
