Join Our Team as a Lawyer at Axiom! We are currently seeking Labour & Employment Lawyers to work with our clients at some of the worldβs largest companies across a range of industries. The ideal candidate will have experience advising employers on workplace matters, with a background in one or more of the following areas:

Employee investigations

Compensation, pension and benefits

General employment law

Labour relations
Candidates do not need experience across all areas.

Provide legal counsel to employers on a range of labour, employment, and workplace matters, including employee relations, workplace policies, terminations, accommodations, leaves, and other employment issues.

Conduct or advise on workplace investigations, including allegations of harassment, discrimination, misconduct, retaliation, and other employee complaints.

Advise on compensation, pension, and benefits matters, including employment-related compensation programs, incentive arrangements, pension and retirement plans, and employee benefit programs.

Counsel employers on labour relations matters, which may include collective agreements, unionized workforces, grievances, arbitrations, collective bargaining, and labour disputes.

Partner with HR, employee relations, benefits, compensation, and business leaders to identify and manage employment-related legal and regulatory risks.
Qualifications

4+ years of legal experience in one or more of the following areas: employee investigations; compensation, pension and benefits; general employment law; or labour relations, preferably with in-house experience.

Experience advising employers and HR teams on workplace matters and applicable Ontario and Canadian employment and labour laws.

Strong ability to provide practical legal guidance and work cross-functionally with HR and business stakeholders.

Licensed and in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
Requirements

The estimated total compensation for full-time Axiom attorney roles is $114,000-250,000 per year and for non-attorney roles is $64,000-201,000 per year.

Compensation decisions are based on various factors, including, but not limited to, experience, skills, certifications, location, and business needs.
