Role Description

Axiom welcomes expressions of interest from Australian-qualified lawyers with experience in labour and employment law. We’re interested in connecting with legal professionals who provide practical, commercially focused advice on workplace matters and enjoy partnering with clients and stakeholders across an organisation.

What you'll do:

• Advising on employment and workplace relations matters, including employee relations, performance management, disciplinary issues and workplace investigations.
• Providing guidance on Australian employment laws, including the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards, modern awards and enterprise agreements.
• Drafting and reviewing employment contracts, workplace policies, procedures and other employment-related documents.
• Advising on organisational change, restructures and other people-related initiatives.
• Identifying workplace legal risks and recommending practical ways to address them.
• Working with HR, People and business teams, and communicating advice clearly to stakeholders at all levels.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of post qualification experience.
• A sound understanding of Australian employment and workplace relations laws.
• Ability to turn complex legal issues into clear, practical advice.
• Confidence drafting and reviewing employment-related documents.
• Ability to work well with a range of stakeholders and can manage competing priorities.
