Role Description
Our client is seeking an experienced Federal Contracts Manager to provide hands‑on support across the full acquisition lifecycle within a professional services environment. This contract role ensures continuity in contract execution, compliance, and operational support during a period of increased internal activity. The ideal candidate brings strong federal contracting expertise, excellent judgment, and the ability to operate independently in a fast‑paced environment.

Work Model: Remote (DMV preferred), EST hours
Work Schedule: Part‑time or full‑time depending on candidate availability
Responsibilities

Contract Execution & Lifecycle Management

Analyze RFQs/RFPs/RFIs to identify requirements, compliance obligations, and risk considerations.

Draft, review, and manage contractual documents such as subcontracts, NDAs, and teaming agreements.

Support proposal activities, including terms and conditions review and coordination with pricing and technical teams.

Maintain contract files, documentation, and CRM/CMS systems in accordance with internal and regulatory standards.

Manage end‑to‑end administration of federal contracts and subcontracts, including solicitation review, teaming, award, modifications, and closeout across multiple contract types (Fixed Price, T&M, Labor Hour, Cost‑Reimbursable, Ordering Vehicles).

Compliance & Risk Management

Identify and escalate contractual or regulatory risks and support issue tracking and resolution.

Assist with interpreting regulatory updates and integrating them into processes and procedures.

Support compliance with FAR, DFARS, GSAM, SBA, and other federal procurement regulations.

Assist with administration of federal contract vehicles (GSA, OASIS+, CIO‑SP, IDIQs, GWACs, MACs).

Support contract‑related reporting and registration requirements (SAM.gov modules, GSA systems, GWAC/MAC portals).

Cross‑Functional & Enterprise Support

Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on contract requirements and compliance considerations.

Support enterprise activities such as name changes, novations, contract transitions, or similar actions.

Contribute to documentation and knowledge transfer to ensure continuity after the temporary assignment.

Partner with legal, finance, HR, program management, and capture/proposal teams to support contract execution.
Qualifications

NCMA or similar certifications are a plus.

Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to execute independently with appropriate escalation.

Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, or related field preferred.

High attention to detail and ability to identify compliance issues.

Experience supporting subcontracting and teaming agreements.

Collaborative working style in a temporary, high‑impact support role.

Experience with name changes, novations, or contract transitions is a plus.

Proficiency in Microsoft 365; CRM/CMS experience (e.g., Salesforce) preferred.

Strong working knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and related procurement regulations.

Experience with multiple contract types, including Cost‑Reimbursable (required).

Familiarity with federal contract vehicles (GSA, OASIS+, CIO‑SP3, IDIQs, GWACs, MACs).

Exposure to federal systems (SAM.gov, GSA platforms, GWAC/MAC portals) preferred.

Strong organizational and time‑management skills; able to manage multiple priorities.

Demonstrated experience administering contracts and subcontracts across the full lifecycle.

8+ years of hands‑on experience in federal government contracting within a professional services environment.
