Role Description

Are you a licensed Enrolled Agent who wants to focus on real tax controversy work — not busywork — while working from home? If so, our New Jersey-based tax law firm has a great opportunity for you.

Your Role With Us:

• Draft Collection Information Statements, correspondence to the IRS, and case closing letters for attorney review.
• Call the IRS ACS and Practitioner lines to obtain case information and move cases forward.
• Review IRS transcript reports and keep case deadlines and milestones on track.
• Work under the direction of our attorneys — you'll do real casework, not just filing and scheduling.

Qualifications

• Licensed Enrolled Agent.
• Associate's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience at a tax controversy firm.
• Tech-savvy.

Requirements

• Detail-oriented.
• Comfortable talking to the IRS on the phone.
• Knowledgeable about transcripts and Collection Information Statements.
• Ability to manage responsibilities of a remote position independently.
