Role Description

As Director, Corporate Counsel at BetterHelp, you’ll join a diverse team of clinicians, engineers, product pros, creatives, marketers, and business leaders who share a passion for expanding access to therapy. We're seeking a business-oriented, proactive, and collaborative attorney to join BetterHelp’s Legal team to support both our BetterHelp Business (B2B) and Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in the B2B partnership landscape, including employee assistance programs (EAPs), health plans, and enterprise partnerships. You’ll play a key role in structuring, negotiating, and implementing partnership and marketing agreements, ensuring that our B2B offerings and D2C platform work seamlessly together.

This role requires someone who can think strategically about how to operationalize partnerships, translating legal agreements into effective business processes, and who thrives in a cross-functional environment working with sales, product, marketing, and engineering. A background in healthcare or digital health contracting, particularly in models that blend enterprise and consumer delivery, is a plus.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of relevant legal experience.
• 3+ years of healthcare related legal work experience.
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited U.S. law school and active member in good standing of a U.S. state bar.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to provide practical, risk-balanced legal advice in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment.
• Collaborative and adaptable mindset with a focus on enabling business growth while maintaining compliance.
• Experience working in a hybrid organization offering both D2C and B2B services and/or digital health platform is preferred, but not required.
• Digital and privacy experience is a plus.
