Role Description

Kean Miller is currently seeking a part-time, reduced hours, full time, or contract attorney to join the Data Privacy and Cyber Security practice.

Qualifications

• Two to four years’ experience handling data privacy, data security, and incident response matters, including breach triage, containment, documentation, and regulatory compliance steps.
• Experience triaging data breaches and cyber incidents, coordinating notifications, containment strategies, and compliance obligations.
• Skilled in drafting and reviewing privacy and security policies, internal privacy management frameworks, and compliance documentation.
• Experience reviewing and negotiating master service agreements, SaaS licenses, data processing addenda, and other data-related commercial contracts.
• Experience evaluating vendor management programs and assessing privacy and data security risks in software licensing and outsourcing arrangements.
• Ability to assist with information-sharing issues, regulatory examinations, incident investigations, and responses to inquiries from administrative or legislative bodies.
• Strong written and oral advocacy skills, excellent legal research and analytical abilities, and outstanding academic credentials.
• CIPP/US or similar privacy certification is highly valued.

• Remote candidates with several years of experience along with CIPP/US credentials will be considered.
