[Hiring] Corporate Counsel, Product @Indeed.com

Role Description

A Corporate Counsel at Indeed creates legal solutions in new and creative ways. This role requires advanced knowledge of the attorney’s subject matter area and an in-depth understanding of the supported business area’s objectives. A successful Corporate Counsel combines legal expertise with strong business acumen to effectively partner with the business and exercises sound judgment in their approach to problems, including methods of evaluating, analyzing, and communicating. The Corporate Counsel also serves as a valuable resource, providing guidance and support to analysts, other attorneys, and the business as a whole.

• Review and advise on new initiatives, products, and processes to identify potential legal and regulatory risks.
• Builds and maintains strong relationships within the legal department and with key business partners to create a strong network of collaboration.
• Effectively communicates legal guidance and analysis to business partners and other members of the team.
• Escalates as appropriate while learning the business and how to appropriately balance risk.
• Demonstrates effective prioritization and time management skills based on an understanding of business need and department priorities.
• Combines legal knowledge and basic understanding of Indeed's business and risk tolerance to spot issues, recognize patterns, and provide accurate and actionable legal guidance and work product.
• Effectively manages outside counsel relationships.

Qualifications

• Requires a JD and a minimum of 4 years of related experience.
• Member in good standing of any US Bar.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to translate legal concepts into clear, practical guidance.
• Ability to balance legal risk with practical business considerations.
• Effective project management and organizational skills.
• Ability to build collaborative working relationships across teams.
• Sound judgment and attention to detail.
