Role Description
The Compliance Investigator is responsible for conducting thorough and high-quality investigations to address concerns raised through the company’s ethics hotline program (“Speak Up! Program”). This role requires advanced investigative skills, including:

The Compliance Investigator will work independently and collaboratively to ensure that all investigations are conducted in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements, as well as company policies.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Conduct Investigations:
Lead and manage investigations into compliance-related issues, including fraud, corruption, HR, financial, conflicts of interest, and other potential violations of company policies and regulations.

Analysis and Reporting:
Independently analyze evidence, identify applicable laws, regulations, and policies, and provide reasonable conclusions from effective fact-finding. Write clear, concise, and comprehensive reports. Lead readout calls working closely with HR, Legal, and management.

Interviewing and Information Gathering:
Conduct effective interviews, adapt questions based on responses, and build good rapport with interviewees. Identify inconsistencies in statements, assess witness credibility, and uncover hidden truths.

Cross-Cultural Competence:
Effectively apply cultural knowledge to facilitate communication and gather information in cross-cultural settings. Adapt investigative approaches to respect cultural norms and improve cooperation from diverse groups.

Problem-Solving and Case Management:
Independently solve a variety of problems, apply critical thinking, and develop effective solutions for simple and moderate issues. Competently develop investigation plans with clear objectives, tasks, and timelines.

Communication and Business Acumen:
Effectively communicate complex information clearly in both written and verbal forms to a variety of audiences. Recommend and align with business leaders on appropriate countermeasures and other actions related to investigation outcomes. Demonstrate a solid understanding of economic principles, business models, and competitive dynamics.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Law, Business, Finance).

Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in compliance investigations or a related field.

English proficiency, both written and verbal.

Competent in digital forensics and investigative software tools.

Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
Requirements

Advanced degree (e.g., JD, MBA) - a plus.

Certifications in compliance or investigations (e.g., CFE, CCEP) - a plus.

Experience with cross-cultural investigations - a plus.

Proficiency in additional languages - a plus.
