Role Description
The Compliance Investigator is responsible for conducting thorough and high-quality investigations to address concerns raised through the company’s ethics hotline program (“Speak Up! Program”). This role requires advanced investigative skills, including:

This position reports to the Danaher Global Compliance Investigations Leader and is part of the Compliance team within the Legal function located in Japan.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Conduct Investigations:
-
Lead and manage investigations into compliance-related issues, including fraud, corruption, human resources, financial, conflicts of interest, and other potential violations of company policies and regulations.

Conduct effective interviews, adapt questions based on responses, and build good rapport with interviewees.

Identify inconsistencies in statements, assess witness credibility, and uncover hidden truths.

Analysis and Reporting:

Independently analyze evidence, identify applicable laws, regulations, and policies, and provide reasonable conclusions from effective fact-finding.

Write clear, concise, and comprehensive reports.

Lead readout calls working closely with HR, Legal, and management.

Effectively apply cultural knowledge to facilitate communication and gather information in cross-cultural settings.

Adapt investigative approaches to respect cultural norms and improve cooperation from diverse groups.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in compliance investigations or a related field.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
Requirements

Ability to travel – up to 15% travel, overnight, within Japan, Asia, Europe, North America.
