Role Description
We’re looking for a motivated and skilled Associate Solicitor to join our team. You’ll handle a caseload of litigated defendant claims for our corporate and insurer clients. This role offers the opportunity to work remotely while managing a variety of claims, including personal injury, large loss, property damage, credit hire, low-velocity impact (LVI), and fraud cases. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified solicitor with litigation experience who is looking to develop their career in a supportive and professional environment.

Manage a caseload of litigated claims from issue to trial, including personal injury, large loss, property damage, credit hire, LVI, and fraud claims.

Assess coverage, liability, and quantum, setting and maintaining reserves in line with client service level agreements and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Investigate the merits of third-party claims and negotiate with third parties, insurers, and solicitors to achieve the best outcomes for clients.

Value general and special damages and apply the Civil Procedure Rules and relevant authorities to secure optimal results.

Ensure full compliance with office protocols, client service level agreements, KPIs, and the Solicitors’ Accounts Rules.

Maintain 100% data integrity on the office case management system for all handled claims.

Provide technical and procedural supervision to other team members and delegate tasks to Claims Administration Assistants as needed.

Act as a litigation/large loss handler and support the team in achieving compliance and performance goals.

Build relationships with key clients to support career development within the existing client account group.

Act as a secondee to insurer and managing general agent (MGA) clients when required.
Qualifications

You’re a qualified Solicitor or FCILEX.

You've litigation experience, ideally within an insurer or TPA environment.

You’ve handled a variety of claims, including RTA, EL/PL, housing, and other liability claims.

You’re self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently within a defined structure.

You have strong communication skills and can work effectively with peers, managers, and clients.

You’re comfortable working remotely and managing your own workload.
