Role Description
We are seeking a strategic legal and compliance leader to join our team as Associate General Counsel & Senior Director of Compliance. This role is ideal for an experienced attorney with a strong background in healthcare regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and employment law within a multi-state healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities

Legal Support

Assist with management of external litigation in coordination with outside counsel (e.g., employment, professional and general liability matters)

Provide legal guidance on various contract matters such as leases, NDAβs, vendor and payor agreements, and physician arrangements

Ensure adherence to federal and state regulations, including the False Claims Act and the Anti-Kickback Statute

Prepare and deliver training and communications to promote awareness of compliance and legal issues

Maintain and report metrics to leadership

Healthcare Regulatory & Compliance Support

Lead internal investigations and hotline management

Update and manage internal compliance policies
-
Support the review of internal policies and procedures for regulatory alignment
-
Partner with others on audits, investigations, and corrective action plans
-
Assist with monitoring licensing and compliance requirements across states
-
Advise operational leaders on regulatory risk mitigation and compliance controls
-
Develop and oversee corrective action plans and remediation efforts
-
Depending on experience, this attorney may supervise 2-5 team members

Corporate & Operational Support

Support M&A due diligence and integration efforts as needed

Develop practical, business-oriented legal solutions aligned with organizational goals
Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
-
Active U.S. Bar License
-
4+ years of relevant legal experience
-
Strong experience in compliance program management
-
Background in healthcare law (in-house or law firm)
Requirements

Experience in multi-state or multi-site healthcare organizations

Familiarity with behavioral health / substance use disorder regulations

Prior in-house or regulatory experience
