Role Description

TechnologyAdvice is looking for a practical, business-minded Associate Counsel to join our global Legal team. This role is designed for an early-career attorney who is eager to build broad in-house experience across:

• Commercial contracts
• Corporate compliance
• Data privacy
• Employment matters
• International legal operations

The Associate Counsel will work closely with senior legal and business leaders to:

• Review and negotiate agreements
• Research legal and regulatory issues
• Support compliance initiatives
• Provide clear, practical guidance to internal stakeholders

The ideal candidate is a licensed Philippine attorney with:

• Strong foundational legal skills
• Sound judgment
• Excellent attention to detail
• A willingness to learn quickly in a fast-paced business environment

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor, Bachelor of Laws, or equivalent law degree required
• Active member in good standing of the Philippine Bar
• Approximately two to four years of relevant legal experience, preferably involving:
• Commercial contracts
• Corporate law
• Data privacy
• Employment law
• Regulatory compliance
• In-house legal support
• Prior experience in a law firm or corporate legal department is preferred
• Experience supporting technology, media, marketing, software, advertising, or lead-generation businesses is a plus
• Strong foundation in contract interpretation, legal research, issue spotting, and legal writing
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Highly attentive to detail
• Curious, resourceful, and willing to ask thoughtful questions
• Sound professional judgment and discretion when handling confidential or sensitive matters
• Proactive and comfortable taking ownership of assignments
• Able to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment
• Comfortable working U.S. business hours

Requirements

• Must have a reliable computer, internet connection, and backup connectivity
• Manage assigned legal matters and projects from intake through completion
• Provide other legal and administrative support as needed
