[Hiring] VP, Segment CIO, Pharmacy @Humana

Role Description

The VP, Segment CIO, Pharmacy, is a member of the Pharmacy executive leadership team. This individual will provide strategic and operational leadership, overseeing the IT Department, assessing current business needs, optimizing or creating new processes, and making recommendations related to acquisitions and divestitures. The CIO is responsible for:

• Managing key business and IT vendor relationships.
• Interacting with Key External Partners, Clients, and Customers.
• Leading, developing, and overseeing all IT needs for Humana Pharmacy P&L, which includes 4 sub-organizations:
• Pharmacy Benefits Management (PBM)
• Enclara Hospice Pharmacy
• Humana Specialty Pharmacy
• Traditional, OTC, and Retail Pharmacies

Responsibilities include:

• Executive leadership responsibility with DomaniRx (Humana, Anthem, SS&C Joint Venture).
• Working with Executive IT staff to develop and implement department goals.
• Overseeing large scale transformation initiatives, including the definition, design, development, implementation, and transformation of people, processes, and technology.
• Staying abreast of emerging technologies that can accelerate business goals and increase company profits.
• Driving pharmacy business outcomes through an Omni-channel eCommerce lens.
• Creating and implementing IT policies, protocols, and standards; influencing Enterprise IT policies, protocols, and standards.
• Creating direction and promoting talent development activities for all Pharmacy IT employees.
• Nurturing the business and IT cultures to support an inclusive work environment.
• Working with Pharmacy business leaders and senior IT leaders to develop the Pharmacy IT department budget.
• Ensuring that Pharmacy IT department strategies and processes support overall business goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• 10 or more years of technical experience
• 8 or more years of management experience
• Broad understanding of Information Technology solutions including Retail technologies, platforms, applications, and capabilities in Pharma and Healthcare
• Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Requirements

• Master's Degree (preferred)
• 5 or more years of IT Management experience (preferred)
• Work at Home Requirements: Minimum download speed of 25 Mbps and upload speed of 10 Mbps; wireless, wired cable, or DSL connection is suggested.
• Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.
• Occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.
• Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
