Role Description

The Vice President, Information Technology is the senior leader responsible for defining and executing the enterprise IT strategy and ensuring the delivery of reliable, secure, scalable, and cost-effective technology capabilities that support Adaptive’s business objectives and long-term growth.

• Establishes the vision, priorities, operating model, and multi-year roadmap for enterprise IT.
• Has executive accountability for corporate infrastructure, enterprise applications, the Enterprise Data Warehouse and related data platforms, Modern Workplace, identity and access management, Service Desk operations, Business Relationship Management, IT governance, and business continuity.
• Serves as a strategic advisor to business and functional leaders, anticipating organizational needs and translating business priorities into enterprise technology investments and capabilities.
• Accountable for IT organizational performance, financial stewardship, operational resilience, risk management, regulatory readiness, employee technology experience, and measurable business outcomes.
• Demonstrates behaviors consistent with Adaptive’s Core Values and Leadership Principles.
• Helps establish individual team member goals, aligning those with broader team objectives.
• Provides thoughtful coaching and consistent feedback to team members to drive performance excellence and accountability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, with at least 20 years of related experience, OR Master’s degree in a related field with at least 18 years of related experience, OR Ph.D. in a related field with at least 12 years of related experience.
• Significant senior leadership experience within enterprise IT, including leadership of managers, multidisciplinary teams, and complex technology portfolios.
• Demonstrated success defining and executing an enterprise IT strategy aligned with business objectives and organizational growth.
• Proven experience leading enterprise IT operations in a complex, distributed, or rapidly evolving organization.
• Deep understanding of cloud platforms, enterprise SaaS, identity and access management, endpoint technologies, networking, collaboration platforms, Modern Workplace capabilities, and IT service management.
• Demonstrated experience overseeing enterprise applications and data platforms, including an Enterprise Data Warehouse.
• Experience leading Service Desk operations and establishing measurable service-management and employee-experience practices.
• Experience establishing effective relationships between IT and business functions, including demand management, prioritization, roadmap development, and value realization.
• Proven ability to lead large-scale technology transformations and complex, cross-functional initiatives.
• Experience developing and managing significant budgets, investment portfolios, strategic vendors, and outsourced service providers.
• Strong knowledge of IT governance, data governance, operational risk, business continuity, disaster recovery, and security-control practices.
• Demonstrated ability to influence executive stakeholders, communicate complex technology matters clearly, and make sound decisions with incomplete or evolving information.
• Strong business and financial acumen, with the ability to connect technology investments to measurable business value.

Requirements

• Experience in a regulated or compliance-driven environment.
• Working knowledge of security, privacy, and compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, or other applicable standards.
• Experience supporting global or geographically distributed organizations.
• Experience leading IT integrations for mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, or significant organizational transformations.
• Experience presenting technology strategy, performance, investment priorities, and risk considerations to executive leadership or board-level audiences.
• Relevant certifications such as ITIL, PMP, CISSP, Certified Business Relationship Manager, or cloud-platform certifications.

Benefits

• Salary Range: $261,000 - $391,600
• Possible “other compensation” elements to include: equity grant, bonus eligible.
