Role Description

The System Administrator II provides system and infrastructure operations and maintenance support for EFMSS environments and associated IT infrastructure. The position is responsible for:

• Configuring and maintaining virtual servers and network components.
• Patching systems.
• Monitoring availability and performance.
• Troubleshooting failures.
• Managing scheduled operations.
• Maintaining infrastructure inventories.
• Supporting backup, recovery, security, and contingency operations.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of system administration, virtual servers, infrastructure operations, patch management, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of network components, DNS, system availability, and scheduled system operations.
• Knowledge of backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and business continuity practices.
• Knowledge of system security controls and vulnerability remediation.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve system and infrastructure problems.
• Ability to monitor system performance and availability.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in system administration, infrastructure operations, or a related IT field.
• Experience supporting servers, virtual environments, operating systems, or network infrastructure.
• Experience with system monitoring, troubleshooting, and patch management.
• Experience supporting backup and recovery activities.
• Required to successfully pass a background investigation.

Requirements

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
