Role Description

We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Architect to lead the design, assessment, and evolution of a growing Microsoft Azure ecosystem. This consultant will serve as the strategic bridge between business objectives and cloud technology, ensuring Azure solutions are scalable, secure, resilient, and aligned with industry best practices.

The organization has completed the initial phase of its Azure environment and has deployed it to a development environment. The selected consultant will partner closely with leadership to:

• Assess the current architecture
• Identify gaps and optimization opportunities
• Provide best-practice recommendations
• Help design and implement the future-state Azure architecture

This individual will act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert, providing architectural guidance and governance across cloud initiatives while helping the team maximize Azure capabilities and long-term value.

Areas consultant will be working in:

• Architecture & Design: Assess the current Azure environment and design scalable Azure solutions across IaaS, PaaS, and serverless services.
• Governance & Security: Establish and enforce best practices for security, identity management, compliance, and cloud governance.
• Modernization: Lead cloud migration and application modernization efforts, including cloud-native and microservices architectures.
• IaC & Automation: Implement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep) and automate deployments through CI/CD pipelines.
• FinOps: Optimize Azure costs, resource utilization, and overall cloud investment.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure architecture and cloud services.
• Experience designing enterprise-scale Azure environments.
• Strong understanding of cloud governance, security, and compliance frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, Bicep, and CI/CD automation.
• Experience leading cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
• Knowledge of FinOps principles and Azure cost optimization strategies.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
