Role Description

Own full-cycle recruiting across Engineering, Product, and Design, with a focus on highly competitive software engineering and technical leadership searches.

• Build exceptional pipelines from scratch.
• Turn ambiguous hiring needs into clear talent profiles, target markets, sourcing strategies, and ultimately hires.
• Be relentless about finding great people.
• Go deep across LinkedIn Recruiter, Juicebox, referrals, talent communities, competitive companies, and other sourcing tools to consistently get high-bar passive talent into conversation.
• Develop the technical fluency and talent judgment to quickly recognize exceptional candidates beyond titles, keywords, or company logos.
• Write outreach that gets responses and run conversations that make exceptional candidates genuinely excited about Charta even when they weren't looking.
• Partner closely with Engineering and Product leaders to continuously calibrate the bar, refine searches, and move quickly as priorities evolve.
• Own the candidate relationship from first message through signed offer: understand motivations, navigate competing processes, sell the opportunity, and close.
• Manage multiple high-priority searches simultaneously while maintaining speed, judgment, and an excellent candidate experience.
• Review and manage agency pipelines, holding external partners to the same quality bar as our internal recruiting team and ensuring they deliver signal, not volume.
• Use funnel data and market feedback to constantly improve sourcing, conversion, interview processes, and closing.
• Help build the recruiting engine as we scale.

Qualifications

• An exceptional recruiter with a strong track record of finding and closing difficult, high-bar candidates.
• Deep technical recruiting experience across software engineering, product engineering, or similarly competitive technical talent markets.
• Agency or executive-search experience strongly preferred.
• Expert-level sourcing capability.
• A highly developed talent radar.
• A history of successfully engaging passive candidates who have plenty of other options.
• An excellent storyteller and closer.
• High agency and comfort with ambiguity.
• Strong urgency and experimentation instincts.
• Able to build credibility with demanding hiring managers.
• Highly organized and data-driven enough to operate at speed without sacrificing candidate experience or pipeline quality.
• Experience with Ashby is a strong plus.

• $130,000-$170,000 depending on experience + Equity + Benefits.
