Role Description

Quest Software is seeking a Team Lead, Global HR Operations to support the delivery and day-to-day execution of our global HR Operations model. This role is based in the United States and operates with a global mindset, partnering across the Americas, EMEA, and APJ.

This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing a team of HR Operations professionals, ensuring high-quality service delivery, and driving consistency across core HR processes. You will balance people leadership, operational execution, and continuous improvement, helping to scale a responsive and efficient HR Operations function.

You will work closely with HR Business Partners, HRIS, Payroll, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure a seamless employee experience and strong operational performance.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do:

  • Team Leadership & Execution
    • Lead, coach, and develop the global HR Operations Team, providing day-to-day guidance, prioritization, and support.
    • Oversee team workload and ensure timely, accurate delivery of HR Operations services.
    • Act as an escalation point for complex employee and manager inquiries.
    • Support onboarding and training of new team members and contribute to ongoing capability building.
  • HR Operations Delivery
    • Ensure consistent execution of HR processes across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, job changes, leaves of absence, and compliance activities.
    • Monitor service quality and identify opportunities to improve responsiveness and employee experience.
    • Partner with regional and global HR Operations colleagues to ensure aligned approaches and consistent delivery.
  • Process and Systems Management
    • Partner with HRIS, Payroll, and IT teams to support data accuracy and effective system workflows.
    • Help drive process standardization and adoption of best practices across regions.
    • Support audits, reporting, and compliance requirements, ensuring team readiness and accuracy.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Partner closely with HR Business Partners to support business needs and ensure operational alignment.
    • Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and Payroll to ensure accurate and compliant employee administration.
    • Participate in global initiatives and projects that enhance HR Operations capabilities.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Identify process gaps and inefficiencies, and work with leadership to implement improvements.
    • Promote a β€œone HR Operations team” mindset, helping to reduce siloed approaches and increase global consistency.
    • Contribute to scaling the HR Operations model as the organization grows.

Qualifications

  • 5–7+ years of experience in HR Operations or HR Shared Services.
  • Prior experience leading or mentoring others (formal people management experience preferred).
  • Strong understanding of HR processes and employee lifecycle operations.
  • Experience working in a global environment with cross-regional collaboration.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy, consistency, and service quality.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to partner across teams and levels.
