Role Description

The Talent Acquisition Operations Coordinator plays a critical role in delivering a seamless and compliant pre-onboarding experience for new hires across Carnival Corporation’s North America brands and business units. This role leads the coordination of pre-onboarding activities, ensuring communication between candidates, hiring managers, and internal stakeholders such as IT, Identity Access Management, HR Technology, and various third-party vendors. The coordinator ensures that each new hire receives the appropriate onboarding experience tailored to their employment status and transition type—whether transferring internally, returning to the company, transferring locations, or relocating internationally.

• Process tickets and serve as the main communicator between candidates, hiring managers, and internal stakeholders such as IT & Identity Access, onboarding some third-party vendors to facilitate the process timely.
• Launch the pre-onboarding process for each new hire, communicating details to stakeholders based on predetermined workflows.
• Initiate and review criminal background checks, employment verifications, OFAC Reports, and other documentation necessary for initial employment.
• Initiate section one of I-9 documentation for new hires, ensuring all pre-hire tasks are complete no later than 3-5 business days prior to the anticipated start date.
• Provide additional operational support to other TA functions where needed including Internal Auditing, Vendor Relations, TA Marketing, Contractor Management.
• Work on continual process improvement including ways to leverage AI and automate tasks associated with daily work.
• Ensure candidates that require immigration and/or relocation support are referred to Global Mobility for processing and update stakeholders where applicable.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
• 2-3 years of experience in talent acquisition, HR operations, or a related field
• Experience with immigration processes and onboarding logistics is highly desirable
• Strong organizational and project coordination skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• High attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, ATS, HRIS, and SharePoint
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Contribute to process improvement and documentation efforts
• Must be amenable to work remotely and in EST schedule
