Role Description

As a Philippines-based Senior HR-Legal Advisor, you will facilitate the development and maintenance of scalable, country-specific HR documentation and compliance frameworks across multiple jurisdictions. You will conduct labor law research, standardize employment documentation, and create client-ready resources spanning onboarding, performance management, disciplinary processes, and terminations.

You will serve as a key internal point of contact for HR Advisory Services, supporting Sales and Customer Success teams with client queries and providing direct advisory guidance where required. The role also includes managing complex employee relations matters, including specialized labor law advisory for the Philippines, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and due process standards.

In addition, you will collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Onboarding, Payroll, and Legal teams to strengthen documentation governance, support training compliance initiatives across APAC, and drive process optimization to enhance scalability and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • 8–10 years of experience as an HR Generalist or Employment Lawyer with strong expertise in employee relations and employment law.
  • Experience assessing litigation support exposure with Philippines labor law specialization.
  • Proven experience designing and managing employee lifecycle processes, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and off-boarding.
  • Strong research capability across multi-jurisdiction labor laws and HR compliance frameworks.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and engage clients confidently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with sound judgment and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, client-facing global environment.

Requirements

  • Research and develop country-specific documentation for onboarding, PIPs, disciplinary procedures, and offboarding in line with local labor laws.
  • Review and standardize HR documentation templates, including employee handbooks and employment contracts, to ensure commercial readiness and consistency.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external legal partners for review and validation.
  • Maintain and regularly update a centralized documentation repository for internal and client-facing use.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Sales and CSM teams on HR Advisory queries.
  • Validate scope eligibility and coordinate with external legal partners on costs and timelines.
  • Ensure compliant and audit-defensible advisory output while maintaining centralized tracking and strengthening frameworks based on recurring needs.
  • Manage employee relations matters including PIPs, disciplinary actions, workplace investigations, abscondment cases, and provide support on termination queries.
  • Conduct case intake, fact-finding, and compliance risk assessments.
  • Guide clients through statutory due process, review communications, and provide real-time advisory support on client calls.
  • Prepare defensible documentation while tracking case timelines.
  • Work closely with the Legal Offboarding team to advise on just and authorized cause terminations.
  • Ensure compliance with DOLE regulations and statutory due process.
  • Manage DOLE statutory filings, including Establishment Termination Reports and redundancy/retrenchment notifications.
  • Identify jurisdiction-specific mandatory training requirements across APAC and lead the end-to-end rollout of statutory compliance training initiatives.
  • Provide advisory support on training-related compliance queries and maintain audit-ready participation records.
  • Review product requirements and refine onboarding guide content accordingly.
  • Identify and drive opportunities to streamline and automate compliance workflows.
  • Support Ad-hoc projects based on business needs and contribute to cross-functional process improvements.
