Role Description

We are seeking an experienced SAP SuccessFactors Talent Management Lead to lead the design, configuration, and implementation of the SuccessFactors Talent Management suite. The ideal candidate will have strong functional and implementation experience across Performance & Goals (PM/GM), Succession Planning (SP), Career Development Planning (CDP), and Compensation. This role will lead client discussions, drive solution design decisions, and coordinate activities across functional and technical teams.

• Lead end-to-end design and implementation of SAP SuccessFactors Talent Management solutions.
• Provide functional leadership across Performance & Goals, Succession Planning, Career Development Planning, and Compensation.
• Facilitate client workshops to gather requirements, validate processes, identify gaps, and define future-state solutions.
• Translate business requirements into scalable SuccessFactors solutions aligned with leading practices.
• Own solution design decisions across Talent Management modules.
• Lead configuration, testing, defect resolution, deployment, and go-live activities.
• Design performance management processes, goal plans, forms, route maps, competencies, and calibration processes.
• Lead Succession and Career Development design, including talent pools, succession nominations, career paths, development plans, mentoring, and talent reviews.
• Lead Compensation design, including worksheets, eligibility rules, guidelines, budgets, salary planning, bonuses, and approval workflows.
• Identify dependencies and integration requirements with Employee Central, Recruiting, Learning, and People Analytics.
• Coordinate with integration, data, reporting, security, and technical teams.
• Support data migration, system integration testing, UAT, cutover, and go-live readiness.
• Provide guidance to functional consultants and team members supporting the Talent workstream.
• Proactively identify and resolve risks, issues, and design dependencies.
• Develop functional design documents, configuration workbooks, test scenarios, and project deliverables.
• Build strong relationships with client stakeholders and communicate recommendations, risks, decisions, and project status.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of professional experience.
• Strong hands-on implementation experience with SAP SuccessFactors Talent Management.
• Strong expertise in:
  • Performance & Goals (PM/GM)
  • Succession Planning (SP)
  • Career Development Planning (CDP)
  • Compensation
• Experience leading at least one end-to-end SAP SuccessFactors implementation.
• Experience in large or complex enterprise environments preferred.
• Strong understanding of Talent Management business processes and their relationship to the broader employee lifecycle.
• Ability to independently lead requirements and design workshops with HR and business stakeholders.
• Strong SuccessFactors configuration and solution design experience.
• Experience with testing, defect management, cutover, and deployment.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, dependencies, and stakeholders.
• Strong communication, presentation, facilitation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to function as a hands-on functional lead.

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP SuccessFactors certifications in relevant Talent modules.
• Experience implementing multiple SuccessFactors Talent modules as part of a full-suite transformation.
• Experience integrating Talent Management with Employee Central and other SuccessFactors modules.
• Experience with global or multi-country implementations.
• Experience leading or coordinating offshore/onshore functional teams.
• Strong understanding of SuccessFactors implementation methodology and leading practices.

Travel Requirement

This is primarily a remote position, with approximately 25–40% occasional travel to Houston and San Diego. All approved travel expenses will be covered by the client.
