[Hiring] PeopleSoft HR/Payroll Consultant @Optima Global Solutions

Role Description

Our client, The County of Santa Clara, is in need of a PeopleSoft Payroll Functional Consultant to support Single ID implementation. REMOTE work is allowed.

TYPICAL DELIVERABLES

• Partner with HR, Payroll, and IT to streamline employee data, improve system accuracy, and ensure a smooth transition to a unified identifier across PeopleSoft HCM.

Responsibilities

• Lead functional design and configuration for PeopleSoft Payroll and related modules.
• Assess current processes and define future-state workflows for Single ID.
• Support data mapping, conversion, validation, and payroll testing.
• Collaborate with technical teams on interface and integration updates.
• Provide documentation, end-user training, and go-live support.

Qualifications

• Proficient in implementing PeopleSoft Single ID, including consolidating existing multiple employee IDs and understanding downstream payroll impacts.
• Strong knowledge of PeopleSoft HCM and Payroll processes, including earn codes, earnings programs, paysheet build, retro adjustments, and multiperiod payroll processing.
• Proficient in PeopleSoft Pay Group setup, PeopleSoft FLSA functionality, and its effects on payroll processing.
• Solid business and functional understanding of FLSA rules and calculations.
• Strong problem solving, communication, and cross functional collaboration skills.

Requirements

• 12 months contract term (with possibility to extend further).
