[Hiring] People Operations Lead @Pearl

Role Description

We're hiring a People Operations Lead for Pearl, which finds exceptional talent from around the world, trains them to be AI-native, and places them into operational roles at startups as managed contractors.

You'll own the internal operating system that keeps Pearl running as we grow from a few million to $100M in revenue. This is an internal role where you'll build and run the systems that help every team at Pearl grow, get feedback, stay aligned, and execute.

Beyond running our operating systems, you'll be a force multiplier for the founders on high-leverage internal initiatives that don't have an owner yet.

What You'll Own

• Progression, Banding, Scorecards, and Reviews
  • Build a clear progression banding system that works consistently across every org at Pearl.
  • Organize our Scorecard system for consistent feedback.
  • Connect banding, scorecards, and feedback into our review and progression cycle.
  • Run the review cycle end to end: timelines, reminders, calibration, and follow-through.
• Onboarding and Pearl Drivers Ed
  • Standardize onboarding across Pearl, including 30-60-90 day plans.
  • Build and run Pearl Drivers Ed for new hires.
  • Ensure new leaders have clear milestones from day one.
• All Hands
  • Run our all hands from start to finish.
  • Collate data, decide speakers, and craft a story connecting teams to Pearl's goals.
  • Keep all hands sharp and worth everyone's time.
• Operating Rhythm: End-of-Week Checks and Sprints
  • Run end-of-week checks with department leads.
  • Help manage sprints across the company.
  • Support weekly and monthly data reviews.
• Meeting Quality
  • Audit recurring meetings for high value.
  • Design engaging meeting formats.
• Founder Leverage
  • Support founders on high-leverage internal work.
  • Clean up internal processes and documentation.
  • Act as the connective tissue between founders and department leads.
• Founder-Directed Special Projects and New Initiatives
  • Own new initiatives from scope to outcome.
  • Manage outside partners for projects.
  • Turn initiatives into repeatable processes or hand them to clear owners.

What Success Looks Like

• Within your first 90 days, you've taken over the weekly operating rhythm from the founders.
• Within your first year, Pearl's internal operating system runs through you.

Qualifications

• Experience as a chief of staff or business operations lead at a high-growth startup.
• Experience in people operations or internal operations with built systems.
• Background as an ex-consultant who has owned execution.
• Experience in a fast-scaling, people-heavy company.
• Experience leading internal operations in a services business or agency.
