Role Description

• Assist with annual workers' compensation audits.
• Compile payroll records and supporting documentation required by auditors.
• Prepare payroll classifications and wage reports.
• Research auditor inquiries and provide requested information.
• Maintain workers' compensation rate and classification records.
• Monitor certificate and insurance reporting requirements.
• Assist with annual 401(k) plan audits and compliance testing.
• Prepare payroll reports required for retirement plan reconciliations.
• Support annual census reporting and data verification.
• Coordinate payroll information requests from plan administrators and auditors.
• Research and resolve participant payroll discrepancies.
• Assist with Form 5500 audit preparation and supporting schedules.
• Generate routine and ad hoc payroll reports.
• Analyze payroll, labor, and employee data for accuracy.
• Prepare spreadsheets and reconciliations using Excel.
• Track departmental metrics and reporting requirements.
• Assist management with workforce and payroll analytics.
• Participate in payroll, HR, accounting, and compliance projects.
• Assist with acquisitions, company integrations, and new entity setups.
• Support payroll system upgrades, testing, and implementations.
• Assist with process improvement and automation initiatives.
• Complete special assignments and projects as directed by management.
• Cross-train within payroll and compliance functions to provide operational support as needed.
