Role Description

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic partner to retail field leadership, providing expert guidance and consultation on people strategies that drive business performance, partner engagement, and an exceptional experience for both partners and pet parents. Working closely with Market Directors, District Managers, and General Managers, the HRBP aligns talent and organizational strategies with business objectives across multiple Pet Care Centers. This role supports all facets of Human Resources, including:

• Partner relations
• Talent management
• Organizational effectiveness
• Performance management
• Workforce planning
• Compliance
• Leadership development

While serving as a trusted advisor who helps leaders build high-performing teams and a culture that reflects Petco's mission and values.

Qualifications

• Experience in Human Resources or related field
• Strong understanding of HR policies and procedures
• Ability to build relationships and influence at all levels
• Excellent communication and coaching skills
• Analytical skills to interpret workforce metrics

Requirements

• Partner with Market Directors, District Managers, and General Managers to understand business priorities

• Champion initiatives that strengthen partner engagement
• Support workforce planning and organizational design
