Role Description

The Foster Parent Recruiter is a contractual position responsible for coordinating the scheduling, staffing, and facilitation of all recruitment events required by contract. The role involves:

• Collaborating with the local MDHHS office, faith-based communities, and key foster/adoptive/kinship parents to implement recruitment services.
• Working with community partners including faith-based organizations, federally recognized tribes, and LGBTQIA+ community.
• Sending contact information for prospective foster and adoptive parents to the appropriate local county office.
• Utilizing recruitment material produced and/or approved by MDHHS External Affairs and Communication Administration.
• Participating in committees, meetings, and advisory councils as necessary.
• Presenting and distributing information on the foster home licensing process at civic clubs and community events.
• Inputting and maintaining contact information in the appropriate county recruitment outcome tracking spreadsheet.
• Maintaining a flexible work schedule.
• Performing all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one-year relevant experience in foster home recruitment.
• Experience as a foster parent or relevant experience in child welfare.
• Experience speaking to large groups.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable transportation.
• Satisfactory completion of all employment eligibility and Agency hiring requirements.

Benefits
