Role Description

Per Scholas is seeking a Director to lead our Digital Strategy and Applicant Experience team and serve as a key architect of our national recruitment and admissions model. Reporting to the VP, National Recruitment, Applicant Process and Tech Integration, the Director will help translate enrollment goals and organizational priorities into a digital strategy, operating model, and execution roadmap. You will lead, coach, and grow a dedicated team across content, web, and applicant support, and manage the learner’s digital journey, from first ad impression through enrollment.

• Centralizing work to streamline processes while simultaneously increasing conversion.
• Driving the strategy for paid media, web presence, content governance, and digital support operations.
• Partnering closely with MarComms, IT, campus leaders, and external agencies.
• Independently establishing strategy, making operating decisions, and remaining accountable for performance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading and mentoring a team.
• Proven track record of auditing and designing workflows.
• Deep understanding of digital systems, including web CMS and CRM systems (Salesforce preferred).
• Proficiency in using performance data to inform strategy.
• Demonstrated experience leading paid-media strategy and conversion optimization.
• Experience leading the creation and governance of multichannel content.

Requirements

• Own end-to-end campaign planning and creative direction.
• Monitor performance targets and recommend corrective action.
• Direct internal contributors and external agencies for campaign execution.
• Build repeatable campaign processes.
• Direct strategy for conversion optimization and user experience (UX).
• Lead testing of landing pages and other key conversion points.
• Oversee the national applicant experience across multiple channels.
• Lead the creation and ongoing optimization of recruitment-specific content.
• Establish testing and quality-assurance practices.
• Identify friction and communication gaps across the recruitment funnel.
• Evaluate and implement technology and automation solutions.
• Own standards and approval workflows for digital content.
• Ensure recruitment content meets accessibility and compliance requirements.
• Maintain a centralized inventory of digital assets.
• Lead, coach, and develop the Digital Strategy & Applicant Experience team.
• Manage relationships with agencies and vendors.
• Oversee national support channels and build a unified operation.
• Deploy AI-driven solutions for routine inquiries.
• Own resolution paths for complex applicant issues.
