Role Description

The Talent Acquisition Specialist supports the full recruitment lifecycle by sourcing, screening, and coordinating candidates to meet organizational hiring needs. This role manages job postings, schedules interviews, extends offers, assists with onboarding, and maintains applicant tracking systems. The Specialist partners with hiring managers, external agencies, and community organizations to build talent pipelines, enhance employer branding, and ensure a positive candidate experience while maintaining compliance and recruitment metrics.

  • Location: Remote: California. Work will be primarily performed remotely from home office.
  • Employee may be required to utilize personal phone and internet services to perform telecommuting with reimbursement according to Race's telecommuting policy.
  • Occasional travel to and work from other Race offices or off-site locations may be required.
  • Compensation: $25-$30 USD per hour.

Qualifications

  • Eligibility for US Employment without sponsorship.
  • Minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent in a related field of study, or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
  • One to two years (within the last 3 years) experience from recruiter side with Social Media recruiting and sourcing is preferred.
  • Social Media certification preferred.
  • One year experience working with outside recruiting/staffing agencies.
  • Experience with LinkedIn Recruiting, CalJobs, Facebook jobs, and other external recruiting platforms.
  • Professional HR and recruiting related certifications and credentials are preferred.
  • One to two years related experience working with government agencies, educational providers and other community-based organizations who place clients in jobs and/or offer job training.
  • Experience with ADP TotalSource and/or ADP Workforce Now is preferred.
  • Proficient with use of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), recruiting software programs, and social media recruiting platforms.
  • Proficient with recruiting procedure and related legal and regulatory compliance, including interviews.
  • The ability to effectively communicate in English, including speaking, reading, writing, and comprehension, as necessary for effective job performance and workplace communication.
  • Bilingual communication skills are considered a plus, particularly when serving diverse communities.

  • Proficient use of MS Office applications including Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; teleconferencing applications.
  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to manage priorities and workflow.

  • Ability to work with all levels of team members and management.
  • Excellent problem resolution and customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work on complex projects with general direction and minimal guidance.
  • Versatility, flexibility, and willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with a sense of urgency.
  • Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
  • Highly resourceful team-player, with the ability to also be extremely effective independently.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.
  • Ability to distinguish colors and audible tones.
