[Hiring] Talent Acquisition Partner @ALX Africa

Role Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Talent Acquisition Specialist to lead our hiring efforts and oversee the operational aspects of the recruitment process. This role will focus on sourcing, attracting, and hiring top talent while also contributing to the development of hiring guides, building relationships with hiring managers, external hiring partners, and engaging with talent communities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of technical and non-technical roles, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for creating efficient and inclusive hiring processes.

Specific Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end recruitment for technical and non-technical roles, including sourcing, screening, and interviewing.
• Collaborate with hiring managers to understand requirements and create tailored hiring strategies.
• Develop and maintain hiring guides and resources to ensure consistency and efficiency in the recruitment process.
• Identify, evaluate, and establish partnerships with external hiring partners, including recruitment agencies, talent communities, and diversity-focused organizations.
• Manage relationships with hiring partners and ensure alignment with company hiring goals and values.
• Organize and participate in recruitment events, hackathons to build talent pipelines, either in person or virtually.
• Analyze recruitment metrics and provide regular reports to stakeholders on hiring progress and challenges.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in technical recruitment and talent acquisition.
• Incorporate verified AI driven tools to the selection process to drive hiring efficiency and meet the demands in hiring in the age of AI.
• Support the development and implementation of employer branding initiatives to attract top talent.
• Ensure a positive candidate and hiring manager/team experience throughout the recruitment process.
• Any other tasks as prescribed by the Director of People.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in technical recruitment, with a strong understanding of technical roles (e.g., software engineers, data scientists, DevOps, etc.).
• Excellent sourcing skills, including the use of tools like LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, and other technical platforms.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with candidates, hiring managers, and external partners.
• Experience in creating and maintaining hiring guides or recruitment playbooks.
• Knowledge of recruitment metrics and the ability to analyze data to improve hiring processes.
• Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruitment software such as Greenhouse.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Requirements

• Experience working with diversity-focused hiring initiatives and communities.
• Knowledge of employer branding strategies and their impact on talent acquisition.
• Familiarity with relevant AI tools relevant to candidate selection and knowledge in the implementation and training of said tool.
• Familiarity with technical assessments and coding challenges for candidate evaluation.
• Experience in organizing or participating in recruitment events, hackathons, or tech conferences.
• Understanding of global hiring practices and remote workforce recruitment.
• Certification in recruitment or talent acquisition (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter Certification, HR certifications).
