[Hiring] People Product Specialist @Monzo

Role Description

We’re building People Product at Monzo because we believe the way we support Monzonauts should scale as brilliantly as Monzo itself. People Product is a new chapter for Monzo, and a big part of how we’ll continue to grow thoughtfully as we scale.

This small but mighty team will shape how Monzonauts experience key moments across their journey at Monzo. From ideation to delivery, the squad will build in a way that keeps employee experience, controls, governance and clear documentation at the heart of everything we do.

You’ll play a key role by:

• Building internal products that empower our teams to do the best work of their lives.
• Treating the "employee performance experience" as a product: building something intuitive, evidence-based, and deeply rooted in our values.

What you’ll be doing:

• Own the Performance lifecycle: Deep-dive into every touchpoint of the performance journey, from ambitious goal-setting and real-time feedback to meaningful reviews and personal development.
• Bridge the Gaps: Work cross-functionally with People Ops, Partners, Reward, and Tech to build and lead the execution of seamless, end-to-end processes that actually work for humans.
• Be Data-Driven: Use research and analytics to spot friction, measure what matters, and ruthlessly prioritize the work that has the biggest impact.
• Test & Learn: Pilot new ideas and iterate constantly, always keeping the Monzonaut experience front and center.

The impact you’ll make:

• Shape how performance works at Monzo.
• Help turn our approach to performance into something clear, impactful and grounded in what Monzonauts and managers actually need.

What you’ll own:

• Discovery and design: Use research, data and feedback to understand where the performance experience is working well and where it is falling short.
• Building the toolkit: Partner closely with People Tech to design tools and experiences that make performance simpler, more useful and easier to navigate.
• Shipping and iterating: Test ideas, run pilots and learn quickly from what works.
• Running the show: Manage and coordinate central performance projects, collaborating with a wide variety of SMEs and workstream leads.
• Landing the change: Ensure new tools and approaches are adopted well and have the intended impact.
• Measuring success: Define how we measure success and track whether changes are improving the experience over time.
• Keeping it fair: Ensure the performance experience is thoughtful, consistent and fair.
