Role Description

Ascend is seeking a highly motivated HRIS Analyst to oversee onboarding, offboarding, and HRIS management for our West Coast and Central region partner firms. This individual will be responsible for ensuring new employees feel informed, valued, and equipped to succeed while ensuring compliance and data accuracy across HR systems.

  • Own and execute the Ascend Red Carpet Onboarding process
  • Work closely with the Integration Manager to implement onboarding processes at new partner firms
  • Manage the offboarding process, handling compliance and employee relations issues
  • Maintain accurate Workday records

Key Responsibilities

  • HRIS & Data Management:
    • Maintain 99% accuracy in HCM data for assigned partner firms
    • Conduct full data audits upon onboarding of new firms and quarterly thereafter
    • Create and maintain a weekly onboarding and offboarding dashboard
    • Ensure all integrations (Empower, Bswift, Everify, Checkr) function without errors
    • Troubleshoot integration malfunctions with system POCs, resolving issues within 24 hours
    • Generate Workday reports in under 24 hours
    • Process all employee-related HRIS data updates within 24 hours
    • Engage in Workday enhancement and automation projects
    • Provide Workday HRIS support for Head of People staff at the partner firm level
  • Onboarding:
    • Achieve an 80+ Employee Net Promoter Score (ENPS) for Red Carpet Onboarding
    • Coordinate pre-onboarding activities, including documentation and background checks
    • Facilitate orientation sessions within the first three days of hire
    • Ensure all new employees receive proper training and tools during their first week
    • Manage the new hire checklist, ensuring all items are completed within the first week
    • Coordinate with IT for seamless Day 1 onboarding
    • Track and gather feedback from new hires, maintaining a >=50% response rate on the onboarding survey
    • Partner with HR Leads at Partner Firms for successful firm-specific onboarding
  • Offboarding:
    • Ensure 100% of employees go through a formal offboarding process
    • Ensure full compliance with legal and internal policies
    • Conduct exit interviews and report key insights
    • Collaborate with IT and security for data security and policy compliance post-departure
    • Update systems and records to reflect departing employees' status changes
    • Manage benefits offboarding, ensuring proper deployment of COBRA administration
  • Compliance & Documentation:
    • Ensure 100% completion, accuracy, and compliance of onboarding and offboarding documentation
    • Maintain accurate Workday profiles with necessary documentation
    • Stay updated on employment regulations and industry best practices
    • Develop and implement an automated compliance solution

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 3-5+ years of experience in onboarding, HRIS management, and compliance
  • Experience managing Workday HRIS, including reporting and integrations
  • Strong project management and data analysis skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of accuracy
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and collaborate with stakeholders
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
