Qualifications

  • HR Certificate, Diploma, or Degree (completed or in progress)
  • 1–3 years’ experience in an HR Administration role
  • Exposure to:
    • Payroll administration
    • Recruitment administration and ATS usage
    • Employee record management
    • Employee relations and industrial relations administration
    • Employment Equity and Skills Development administration
    • Sage 300 People (advantageous)
    • ClickUp or similar task/project management systems (advantageous)
    • Working in a remote or hybrid environment
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly EXCEL (Advanced Required)
  • Comfortable using HR systems and digital platforms
  • Strong administrative accuracy and organisational skills
  • Basic to working knowledge of South African labour legislation
  • Understanding of Employment Equity and Skills Development frameworks
  • Strong attention to detail and time management
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and remain accountable in a remote environment
  • Professional handling of confidential information
  • Organised, dependable, and self-disciplined
  • Comfortable working with minimal supervision

Requirements

  • Assist in capturing and processing payroll inputs accurately and timeously, under supervision (new hires, terminations, leave, allowances, deductions)
  • Maintain and update employee data on Sage 300 People under supervision
  • Ensure payroll documentation is complete, approved, and correctly filed
  • Assist with resolving basic payroll queries and escalating complex matters appropriately
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date employee files (electronic and on Sage 300)
  • Ensure documentation complies with company policies, POPIA, and statutory requirements
  • Update employee records across HR systems
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding administration
  • Support audits and internal HR compliance checks
  • Provide administrative support throughout the recruitment process
  • Schedule interviews, prepare recruitment packs, and communicate with candidates
  • Update and maintain the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
  • Ensure recruitment files and documentation are complete and audit-ready
  • Provide administrative support for employee relations processes, including disciplinary hearings, grievances, incapacity, and performance management
  • Prepare documentation, notices, and hearing packs
  • Track cases, timelines, and outcomes
  • Maintain accurate ER and IR records
  • Provide administrative support for Employment Equity processes, including data collection, record-keeping, and reporting support
  • Maintain accurate EE documentation and employee demographic data
  • Assist with Skills Development administration, including training records, attendance registers, and documentation
  • Support the preparation of WSP/ATR documentation under guidance
  • Ensure statutory documentation is stored accurately and is audit-ready
  • Capture and maintain accurate HR data across systems
  • Use ClickUp to manage HR tasks, deadlines, and project tracking
  • Support HR reporting and data management
  • Work effectively in a remote or hybrid environment, maintaining productivity, accountability, and clear communication
  • Proactively flag risks, errors, or delays
