Role Description

We are seeking a Business Operations Lead to build and manage the core operational processes of the company. This role will own onboarding, recruiting coordination, compliance, payroll support, and billing operations, ensuring a smooth experience for employees, candidates, and clients. This is a high-impact role for someone who values precision, accountability, and takes pride in building reliable, well-structured processes.

  • Own the end-to-end onboarding process for new hires
  • Coordinate offer execution, documentation, and system setup
  • Manage E-Verify, background checks, and employment eligibility compliance
  • Support recruiting and hiring operations
  • Manage and maintain the applicant tracking system (ATS)
  • Coordinate candidate interviews and scheduling with hiring managers and clients
  • Ensure a professional and seamless candidate experience
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for HR-related operations
  • Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with federal and state requirements
  • Support benefits administration and policy implementation
  • Review and validate employee timesheets for accuracy and completeness
  • Prepare and coordinate payroll inputs with payroll provider
  • Support client billing operations
  • Compile approved hours and prepare invoices for submission
  • Ensure alignment between timesheets, contracts, and billing terms
  • Maintain operational systems (HRIS, timekeeping, document management)
  • Identify and implement process improvements as the company scales

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in business operations, HR operations, recruiting coordination, or back-office management
  • Experience with onboarding processes including E-Verify and background checks
  • Experience working with an applicant tracking system (ATS) and coordinating interviews
  • Familiarity with payroll processes and timesheet validation
  • Experience supporting invoicing or billing (professional services preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and process discipline
  • High level of integrity and professionalism when handling sensitive employee, candidate, and client information
  • Experience with HRIS/payroll platforms preferred
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and located within the United States
