[Hiring] Benefits Communication Specialist @Pitney Bowes

4d ago - Pitney Bowes is hiring a remote Benefits Communication Specialist. 💸 Salary: usd 80,000 - 95,000 per year 📍Location: USA

Role Description

You Are a clear, thoughtful communicator who can translate complex benefits information into simple, accessible content. You’re comfortable working across HR, Total Rewards, and vendor partners, and you bring a strong eye for accuracy, clarity, and employee experience. You thrive in environments where messaging needs to be precise, compliant, and easy for employees and retirees to understand. Reports directly to the Manager of Benefits. You have experience in change management and guiding people through transition – whether it is a new system implementation, policy process, or initiative.

You Will:

  • Develop clear, concise communications for health, welfare, retirement, and wellness programs across multiple channels (email, mailers, intranet, guides, FAQs, presentations, video, collaboration platforms) and lead execution from concept through delivery.
  • Own benefits communication strategy for retiree‑focused materials, ensuring accuracy in Medicare‑related messaging, eligibility rules, and plan updates.
  • Own benefits communication strategy for annual open enrollment, including timelines, messaging, and content development.
  • Partner with Benefits, HRIS, legal, and vendors to ensure all content aligns with plan documents, regulatory requirements, including ERISA, ACA, Medicare, and HIPAA, and brand standards.
  • Draft talking points, job aids, and toolkits for HR partners, managers, and call center teams. Anticipate questions and risks and proactively address them through targeted messaging.
  • Maintain and update benefits webpages, portals, and Workday‑related content in partnership with HRIS and IT.
  • Review vendor communications for clarity, accuracy, and tone.
  • Support change management efforts for new programs, plan design changes, and system enhancements. Develop change management communication plans, stakeholder messaging, and employee readiness materials for major initiatives.
  • Define and track success metrics such as engagement metrics, enrollment, call center volume, and employee feedback and use data to recommend improvements to communication strategy and delivery.

Qualifications

  • Experience in benefits communication, change management, employee communication, HR communications, or benefits administration with strong writing skills.
  • Ability to translate complex benefits concepts (medical, dental, vision, retirement, Medicare, retiree plans) into clear, user‑friendly language.
  • Strong writing, editing, and content‑organization skills with high attention to detail.
  • Experience partnering with HR, Total Rewards, and external vendors.
  • Familiarity with Benefits Administration systems and HRIS platforms. Workday is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and Sharepoint.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and deliver high‑quality content in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, HR, Marketing, or related field preferred.

Requirements

  • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Relations, or related field preferred.
  • Preferred: Master's degree in related field preferred.
  • Residing in the Eastern and Central time zones.

Compensation

The wage range for this position is $80,000-$95,000 per year. Actual compensation will be based on skills and experience as they relate to the job requirements and the location where you will be performing the job.

Sponsorship

Must be legally authorized to work in the US. Employer will not sponsor position for employment visa status now or in the future (ex. H-1B).

Benefits

  • Provide the opportunity to grow and develop your career.
  • Offer an inclusive environment that encourages diverse perspectives and ideas.
  • Deliver challenging and unique opportunities to contribute to the success of a transforming organization.
  • Offer comprehensive benefits globally (PB Live Well).
