[Hiring] Associate HR Shared Services Specialist @Syniverse

Role Description

We are seeking a reliable and motivated HR Shared Services Specialist to join our HR Shared Services team. In this role, you will provide essential support to key HR functions, including HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, and HR Operations.

• Help maintain positive relationships across business units and candidates
• Assist with process documentation and improvements
• Contribute to a great employee experience while supporting routine HR activities and special projects

Key Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and operational support to the HR department, ensuring confidentiality and professionalism in all activities
• Assist with the creation and maintenance of HR policies, procedures, and documentation
• Process employee data changes in Workday, including updates to employee records, job titles, and organizational assignments
• Help coordinate background check processes, communicating with candidates and third-party vendors to track progress and resolve issues
• Support onboarding activities by working with HRBPs and HR Shared Services to ensure all forms and tasks are completed on time
• Partner with the HR team to streamline HR workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and help maintain data accuracy across systems
• Serve as a first point of contact for general HR questions, responding promptly to employee inquiries and escalating complex issues as needed
• Provide basic HR support, such as employment verification and information requests
• Contribute to the development and updating of process documentation as procedures evolve

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
• 1–2 years of experience in a Human Resources or administrative support role, ideally within a shared services or corporate environment
• Experience with HR systems such as Workday or similar HRIS is a plus
• Strong customer service orientation and ability to work effectively with diverse teams
