[Hiring] Staff Accountant @Mapbox

Role Description

This role requires regular alignment with the U.S. Eastern business day and is primarily a night-shift position based in India (generally 6:30 PM–3:30 AM IST during U.S. daylight saving time and 7:30 PM–4:30 AM IST during standard time). Flexibility during quarter-end and year-end close periods is expected.

• Be responsible for accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close procedures for certain key balance sheets and income statement accounts (including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and performing flux analysis).
• Key areas of responsibility may include cash, prepaids, fixed assets, accrued liabilities, and credit cards intangibles.
• Collaborate with key cross-functional partners within the Company to support the accounting close process.
• Develop, implement and maintain key policies and procedures for your assigned areas of responsibilities.
• Provide support for financial statement audits and tax filings upon request.
• Aid in the optimization of existing platforms and the use of platforms such as NetSuite, Floqast and Navan.
• Assist with ad-hoc projects as needed.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in corporate accounting.
• Netsuite experience (required).
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work on multiple tasks at once.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
• Highly self-motivated.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Requirements

• Prior experience with Floqast and Navan Expense + Travel (pluses, but not required).
• CPA with Big 4 Experience (pluses, but not required).
