[Hiring] Senior Managing Director, Head of IG Fixed Income @Reinsurance Group of America

Role Description

This Senior Managing Director is a senior leader and member of the Investment leadership team, responsible for the strategic direction of RGA’s $150B general account investment portfolio. This role reports directly to the Enterprise Chief Investment Officer and is accountable for RGA's $125B global investment grade platform, including:

• Public corporate credit
• Structured products
• Investment grade private credit across all regions

In addition to investment performance and risk management, this leader is responsible for developing a high-performing global organization of approximately 33 analysts, strategists, and traders, driving innovation, organizational effectiveness, and modernization through technology, data, and artificial intelligence.

Qualifications

• MBA graduate with 15+ years relevant work experience OR Bachelor’s degree in Economics/Finance related field with 20+ years relevant work experience
• 10+ Years of leadership experience
• CFA or significant progress towards
• Preferred: Masters, ASA, FSA, or CAIA

Requirements

• Deep expertise in investment grade fixed income markets, including public corporate credit, structured products, and investment grade private placements
• Proven ability to develop and execute investment strategies that deliver strong risk-adjusted returns
• Demonstrated success leading large, globally distributed investment organizations
• Experience applying agentic AI and emerging technologies to enhance credit research and trading
• Exceptional strategic leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
• Strong understanding of insurance company investing, including asset-liability management
• Familiarity with Bermuda regulatory regime under both Standard and Scenario Based Approach
• Proven ability to drive organizational transformation and improve investment processes
• Ability to establish clear ownership, accountability, and performance expectations
• Demonstrated success partnering across complex matrix organizations
• Experience leveraging technology, data, automation, and AI to enhance investment decision-making
• Visionary and forward-looking leader with strong investment judgment

Compensation Range

$255,600.00 - $366,533.00 Annual. Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location.
