Role Description

Reporting to the Global Tax Director, the Senior Manager, Canadian Tax is a senior member of the Tax leadership team responsible for leading Canadian income tax compliance, tax accounting, tax planning, tax audits, and tax risk management, while supporting global tax reporting and strategic tax initiatives across the Kal Tire group.

The Senior Manager, Canadian Tax serves as a technical resource for Canadian corporate tax matters and works closely with Finance, Legal, business leaders, and external advisors to ensure compliance with evolving tax legislation, manage tax risk, and support business objectives.

As a key member of the Tax leadership team, this position plays an important role in developing organizational tax capability through:

Qualifications

• CPA designation
• Completion of the CPA In-Depth Tax Program

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive Canadian corporate tax experience
• Combination of public practice and industry experience preferred
• Experience leading or mentoring tax professionals
• Significant experience in:
  • Canadian corporate tax compliance
  • Tax accounting and IFRS reporting
  • Corporate reorganizations
  • Tax planning
  • CRA audits and dispute resolution
  • Advisor management
