[Hiring] Senior Accountant @Children’s Minnesota

Role Description

The senior accountant is responsible for:

• Preparing monthly journal entries and reconciliations
• Applying generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and procedures
• Preparing accurate and timely financial reports and statements
• Monitoring compliance with regulatory organizations
• Assisting in preparation of annual audit and tax filings
• Reviewing associate accountant and accountant work to ensure accuracy and completeness

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
• 5+ years experience with Accounting or Financial exposure

Requirements

• Audit experience
• Advanced Excel spreadsheet skills (to include pivot tables, dsums, vlookups, and macros)
• Advanced understanding of data mining and analysis
• Ability to create and maintain professional working relationships
• Ability to educate and ensure understanding of processes and/or concepts
• Self-starter with ability to assess priorities and meet deadlines
