[Hiring] Senior Accountant @GT Independence

Role Description

The Senior Accountant owns assigned balance sheet accounts, accounting processes, and month-end close activities. This role ensures accounts are accurate, reconciled, fully supported, and prepared for management review. Responsibilities include:

• Analyzing account activity
• Resolving discrepancies
• Explaining financial results
• Maintaining documentation
• Driving issues to resolution

The Senior Accountant also serves as a process owner, identifying risks, trends, and improvement opportunities, while supporting the development of Staff Accountants and contributing to a scalable, well-documented, and resilient accounting function.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business discipline
• 4-7+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Experience performing month-end close activities, account reconciliations, journal entry preparation, and financial analysis
• Experience owning significant balance sheet accounts or accounting processes

Requirements

• CPA, CPA candidate, or demonstrated progress toward professional certification (preferred)
• Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)

Benefits

• Annual Salary Range: $70,000 to $80,000
