[Hiring] Procurement Specialist @Sumsub

Role Description

We are looking for a Procurement Specialist to join our Finance team. Your role will involve:

• Reviewing vendor contracts for financial risks: payment terms, auto-renewals, price indexation, penalties, minimum commitments, termination terms, and currency exposure.
• Negotiating financial terms with vendors: securing discounts, better pricing, extended payment terms, and more flexible conditions.
• Working within the existing approval flow and keeping turnaround times short to ensure contract review does not slow teams down.
• Analyzing company spend by category, identifying duplicate tools, unused subscriptions, and cost optimization opportunities.
• Tracking contract expiry dates and preparing for renewals and renegotiations in advance.
• Suggesting improvements to the approval flow, procurement policy, and spend thresholds.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Economics or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or financial control.
• Strong analytical skills: confident work with data, building comparison models.
• Ability to read contracts and spot financial risks that are not obvious at first glance.
• Experience negotiating with vendors and a track record of delivering cost savings.
• Upper-Intermediate English or higher: all contracts and negotiations are in English.
• Experience working with international vendors across multiple currencies and jurisdictions.
• Use of LLMs and AI tools to speed up contract review, spend analysis, and reporting.
• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills: pivot tables, complex formulas, and financial models.

Requirements

• Procurement experience in an IT company: SaaS subscriptions, IT services, licenses.
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite, DocuSign, Jira or similar systems.
• Ability to say "no" politely but firmly when terms are unfavorable, while remaining a trusted partner to internal teams.
• Ability to explain financial risks in plain language to people without a finance background.
• Genuine curiosity about how business costs work and the ability to bring ideas on your own initiative.
• Comfortable handling a high volume of requests from different teams and switching between them quickly.
