The Medicaid Financial Analyst I is responsible for executing established Medicaid financial reporting and reimbursement processes. This role supports:

Medicaid Administrative Claiming

Cost reporting

Transportation and private transportation cost reporting

Audit support in assigned states
The Financial Analyst I must be able to manage MAC and cost reporting work in at least one state, meet internal deadlines, and complete work with minimal supervision. This role involves:

Meeting quarterly and annual deadlines for assigned reports and claims

Managing MAC and cost reporting work using established workflows
-
Monitoring Medicaid reimbursement reporting accuracy

Analyzing client financial information to support revenue recommendations
-
Communicating regulatory updates to clients

Supporting clients during audits
Qualifications

Strong data analytical skills and advanced understanding of Excel

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships

Ability to collaborate with internal teams

Working knowledge of school-based Medicaid reimbursement processes

Ability to understand client and business requirements

Ability to identify financial discrepancies and exercise sound judgment

Ability to clearly communicate Medicaid reimbursement requirements

Ability to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining accuracy

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree required
-
Ability to conduct financial analysis using Excel and proprietary tools

1 - 3 years of relevant financial analysis experience
-
2+ years of school-based Medicaid Cost Reporting and/or Administrative Claiming experience

Ability to manage MAC and cost reporting work with minimal supervision

Proven strong written and verbal communication skills

Adherence to Frontline requirements for documentation and tracking

Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and perform effectively in ambiguous situations
