[Hiring] Manager/Senior Manager FP&A- GTM @Motive

Role Description

We are looking for a Manager, FP&A — GTM and a Sr. Manager, FP&A - GTM to serve as strategic finance partners to Go-to-Market leadership and help shape how the business plans, measures performance, and allocates resources.

• Own and improve core GTM planning and reporting processes.
• Translate business performance into clear insights.
• Lead cross-functional decision support across growth, efficiency, capacity, and investment priorities.
• Bring strong financial judgment, operating rigor, and the ability to influence leaders through clear analysis and practical recommendations.
• Move comfortably between executive-level storytelling, detailed financial modeling, operating-metric analysis, and coaching a team.

What You'll Do

• Lead GTM planning and performance management.
• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting processes for assigned GTM functions.
• Lead the development of annual plans, quarterly outlooks, long-range scenarios, and investment cases.
• Establish a clear view of performance against plan and identify the drivers of variance.
• Define and improve the operating cadence for GTM finance.
• Provide an integrated view of GTM growth, productivity, cost, and capacity.
• Serve as a trusted finance partner to GTM executives and functional leaders.
• Constructively challenge assumptions and clarify trade-offs.
• Prepare executive-ready materials for leadership reviews and strategic planning discussions.
• Support strategic initiatives and high-priority business decisions with rigorous analysis.
• Manage, coach, and develop FP&A team members.
• Allocate work across the team and establish appropriate review mechanisms.
• Build team capability in financial modeling and business-driver analysis.
• Foster a culture of accountability and proactive partnership with the business.
• Lead cross-functional workstreams and influence outcomes.
• Build and maintain scalable financial models covering various GTM investments.
• Develop a deep understanding of GTM operating metrics.
• Reconcile financial and operational data across systems.
• Create and improve dashboards, reporting tools, and analytical processes.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual workflows.
• Establish and maintain consistent assumptions and reporting standards.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience (Manager level) OR 10+ years of experience (Sr. Manager level) in FP&A, finance, investment banking, consulting, or related analytical field.
• Strong financial modeling skills and advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets.
• Deep experience with forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, scenario modeling, and executive reporting.
• Demonstrated ability to connect financial results to operational drivers.
• Experience partnering with senior business leaders and constructively challenging assumptions.
• Experience managing, mentoring, or developing finance talent.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and project-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High ownership, sound judgment, attention to detail, and a bias toward practical analysis.
• An AI-native mindset and a demonstrated history of using AI to improve workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a high-growth SaaS, technology, or subscription-based business.
• Familiarity with SaaS and GTM metrics.
• Experience with systems such as Salesforce, NetSuite, Pigment, Snowflake, Tableau, or SQL-based analytics environments.
• Experience supporting Sales, Marketing, Implementation, Customer Success, or other post-sales organizations.
• Experience building scalable reporting, dashboards, or finance data products.
• Experience operating in a rapidly changing environment.

Requirements

• Authorization to receive and access commodities and technologies controlled under U.S. Export Administration Regulations.
